When War Games Go Live: “Staging” a “Humanitarian War” against “SOUTHLAND”

by Prof. Michel Chossudovsky

On November 02 2010, more than four months prior to the onset of Operation Odyssey Dawn, France and the UK announced the conduct of war games under Operation “SOUTHERN MISTRAL 2011” against “AN IMAGINARY COUNTRY’ called “SOUTHLAND”, living under a “DICTATORSHIP”  which allegedly “was responsible for an attack against France’s national interests”.

The Franco-British (humanitarian) air operation against “SOUTHLAND” was to be carried out pursuant to an IMAGINARY “UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO: 3003”.

The war games were scheduled to start on March 21, 2011. THESE FRANCO-BRITISH WAR GAMES  NEVER TOOK PLACE. OPERATION “SOUTHERN MISTRAL” WENT LIVE ON MARCH 19, 2011 (two days prior to the scheduled date).

Still think the NATO intervention in Libya is anything but a planned regime change?  Read the rest of this article here.

Lynch Law and Summary Executions in Rebel-Held Libya | Black Agenda Report

by BAR executive editor Glen Ford

“The world’s most imperial-dependent, ill-disciplined and whining ‘liberation movement’ is still blaming black ‘mercenaries’ and soldiers from Chad for its failures in the field.” Chad, meanwhile, has officially asked the “international coalition” to protect its civilians from the rebels, who have executed “dozens” of Chadian migrant workers. In rebel-held Libya, black Africans and Gaddafi supporters are the people in need of protection.

“Dozens of Chadians have been ‘singled out’ and ‘executed,’ falsely accused of acting as mercenaries for Muammar Gaddafi’s regime, according to Chad.”

The African nation of Chad has called on Libya’s Euro-American “humanitarian” overseers to protect Chadian citizens from lynching at the hands of rebels backed by the West. The government in N’Djamena, which certainly has no interest in antagonizing the Euro-American juggernaut that has assumed a “responsibility to protect” whomever it designates as “civilians” in the territory of its northern neighbor, issued a formal request for “international coalition forces involved in Libya and international human rights organizations to stop these abuses against Chadians and other migrant Africa workers.” Dozens of Chadians have been “singled out” and “executed,” falsely accused of acting as mercenaries for Muammar Gaddafi’s regime, according to Chad, 300,000 of whose citizens were among the 1.5 million black African migrant laborers in Libya at the time of the February revolt.

CrossTalk: Global Intervasions

In this edition of Peter Lavelle’s CrossTalk: Interventions followed by invasions don’t seem to go out of fashion. It is common practice that Western militaries get stuck in foreign lands and for an indefinite period of time. Yes, empires can bomb countries, but can they restore states after breaking them up? And will this intervention syndrome eventually turn into a political cancer? Guests: John Rees, Khariri Abaza and Omar Turbi.

Omar Turbi: When I was in Benghazi I talked to the people down there, I found out for myself that they talked to some of the soldiers that belonged to Ghadafi, are loyalists, and they had been given a mandate to come to town, level the town of 900,000 people literally level the town, rape the women and kill every man from 18 to 40…

Peter Lavelle: Well Omar,… we just hear this from people like you… There is no evidence of this except people like you who come on programs like mine… it’s never corroborated outside of that…

It’s about time everyone started asking for undeniable proof before consenting to military intervention in another countries affairs.
